WebMay 8, 2024 · 30 Apr 2024 #1 Keep Remote Desktop going if Host falls asleep Hi, I am using my home PC (Win 10) to connect to my headless Server (Win 2016) via Remote Desktop. If my home PC goes to sleep then my Remote Desktop session pauses and then resumes once my home PC wakes up. WebWhat I was doing was forcing the system to go to sleep via the windows start menu which made it go to low power state. I honestly thought it was using my current power profile but I guess not. After I let the system go to sleep on its own, I was able to wake it up via RDP.
