The Guide also provides crosswalk information between the FNAI system and other classifications. An update to the classification will be complete in July 2009. WebFNAI habitat models indicate areas, which based on land cover type, offer suitable habitat for one or more rare species that is known to occur in the vicinity. Habitat models have been developed for approximately 300 of the rarest species tracked by the Inventory, including all federally listed species.
