WebOct 2, 2024 · We had problems holding fuel pressure. Replaced the in tank with a Fitech pump and put in a fuel pressure gauge near the throttle body. Still having a lot of problems running lean and backfiring when RPMs get over 3000. Then the handheld seemed to fail. We have a loaner but that's where we stand today. Still and frustrated. WebApr 26, 2024 · I set up the timing control per the FItech instructions and it won't fire. I was cranking on it testing for spark with my timing light and it back fired so hard it blew the muffler wide open. The motor is a 340. I know it's timing related, bit I followed the instructions to a T. I have 12vbon the white wire, I verified spark from the MSD box. Web1 day ago · Had to remove the SafeGuard, it was causing a wierd ignition problem (would kill the ignition randomly when just cruising. engine would sometimes kick back on with a huge backfire and fitech would go haywire! removed the safeguard and all is good). Since the safeguard cannot control a cdi box, I reinstalled the summitracing cdi box and all is well.
