Cytomorphometery has advanced the accuracy of cytologic evaluations. This technique is quantitative and based on measuring parameters such as nuclear diameter, cytoplasmic diameter, and N/C ratio. WebIn summary, this study analyzed the quantitative cytomorphometric characteristics of the buccal mucosal cells in BD patients and compared them with those of healthy control subjects. We concluded that BD itself likely produces cytomorphometric alterations in the buccal mucosal squamous epithelium.
